Mining Companies

The mining sector has been said to produce 4 - 7% of global greenhouse gasses. Due to the intensiveness of their operations, equipment, and refining processes, produce huge amounts of CO2 emissions. Governments, societies, and local communities have been putting huge amounts of pressure on mining companies to clean up their act. Some purposed actions are reducing the amount of water and energy used, using energy from 100% renewable sources. It's going to be a long road to 2050 for the mining sector, one which we'll monitor closely.
